In One Accord
In One Accord
AS CHRISTIAN MINISTERS, ASSOCIATED TOGETHER FOR FELLOWSHIP AND SERVICE IN SHEKINAH MINISTRIES, WE FORMULATE THE FOLLOWING DECLARATION OF THINGS MOST SURELY BELIEVED AMONG US, PRAYING THERE WILL BE NO HARMFUL OR DERISIVE DIFFERENCES AMONG US AND THAT WE MAY KEEP THE UNITY OF THE FAITH IN LOVE, SO THAT ALL MEN MAY SEE THE EXAMPLE SET BEFORE THEM AND THEREFORE PREACH CHRIST TO THE WORLD AS THE ONLY MEANS OF SALVATION FROM SIN AND ITS EFFECTS AND THUS GLORIFY GOD.
THAT WE MAY ALL BE OF THE SAME MIND, SAME JUDGMENT, SPEAKING THE SAME THINGS, (1 CORINTHIANS 1:10: Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.)
BUILDING UP JESUS CHRIST, THE CHIEF CORNER STONE (1 PET. 2:6: Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.)
KNOWN AS THE "I AM" (JOHN 8:58: Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am...)
THE APOSTLE AND HIGH PRIEST OF OUR CONFESSION (HEBREWS 3:1: Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus)
AND THE THINGS TAUGHT IN THE HOLY SCRIPTURES CONCERNING HIM; EDIFYING HIS PEOPLE AND GIVING CHRISTIAN WITNESS TO THE WORLD.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
In the One True God, who reveals Himself in three distinct persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Three being one and equal and eternally self existent as the Great "I AM"...That Jesus Christ is God’s Only Begotten Son, born of a virgin, who ministered the love and the will of the Father, was, and is very God, and Creator of all things.
That He was crucified and died for all people, and then overcame death by resurrecting from the grave on the third day that all might have new life and share in His resurrection.
That He ascended to the Father and presented His precious Blood, and is seated at the right-hand of the Father therefore becoming intercession for us all, and has sent forth His Holy Spirit to indwell and empower believers. We believe that this same Jesus is LORD of all.
That He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. That you must be born-again, receiving Jesus Christ as LORD and Saviour, in order to see the Kingdom of God and that faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to be with the Father according to John 14:6, and one must repent and be baptized according to Acts 2:38... believers should be baptized with water by immersion in obedience to the command as an outward sign of their faith. We also believe that there is no defined order of these events and that God Himself judges the hearts of men. Romans 8:27-37 New King James Version (NKJV) 27 Now He [Jesus] who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He [Jesus] might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. We put [Jesus] in brackets in verse 27 and 29 to show that these references speak of Jesus. The other verses pertaining to God deal with the Father.
We believe: That We look to the forth coming unity of all believers and in the fellowship of the "Church" that is knitted together in the love and worship of Jesus Christ as LORD, in one accord. according to the prayer of Jesus in (John 17:20-21 NKJV): 20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me."
We believe: That He will baptize believers that ask for it, with the Holy Ghost and fire, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as well as other gifts; This is according to Acts 2:4, Mark 16:17, and especially 1 Corinthians 12:7-13 which states: 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by [a]the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
Unity and Diversity in One Body
12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink [b]into one Spirit.
It is scripturally clear that these many diverse gifts are given to the body of Christ as a whole, and not just to the early apostles.
We believe: That as believers, we have been given a universal commission to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel."
We believe: That as believers, the assembling of ourselves together is biblical and important (and all the more in these last days).
We believe: That God has set in the Church the five-fold ministry gifts of Apostles [foundation layers for the Kingdom and visionaries for Kingdom building], Prophets [those who enunciate special revelation from God to encourage the church], Evangelists [preachers of the Raw unadulterated Gospel of Christ], Shepherds [wise counselors and teachers of the complex meat of the word making it simple to digest], and Teachers [expounders of the same meat of the Word... very similar to shepherds], and all do so, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, and for the building up of the body of Christ, according to (Ephesians 4:11-12 NKJV)... and that these ministry gifts are expressed through both men and women, according as a person is called to do so in their unique gifting. Each Christian has a supernatural gift inside of them. Romans 12:6-8 Amplified says it best: "6 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly: if someone has the gift of prophecy, (let him speak a new message from God to His people) in proportion to the faith possessed; 7 if service, in the act of serving; or he who teaches, in the act of teaching; 8 or he who encourages, in the act of encouragement; he who gives, with generosity; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy (in caring for others), with cheerfulness."
We believe: That we are all called to use these grace gifts publicly and demonstrate our faith, thus bringing witness to the world around us of this rich relationship with Christ.
We believe: That these Five-Fold gifts of the church equip the Body to do the work of the ministry and edify each other (Ephesians 4:16). In addition, Christians are to operate in their grace gifts on a regular basis (1 Peter 4:10-11:) 10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the [a]oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the [b]dominion forever and ever. Amen)
1 Corinthians 14:5 states:
"Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy; "
We believe: That the gift of prophecy shall become prevalent in all believers and used to help win the last great harvest. Acts 3:18-21... 18 But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. 19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send [a]Jesus Christ, who was [b]preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since [c]the world began.
We believe: That all the gifts of the Spirit are operable in the Church of Jesus Christ today.
We believe: That the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, indisputable, and authoritative written Word of God according to (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe: That the gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation, and that the LORD Jesus Christ will soon return!
We believe: That the finished work of Christ issues the grace for forgiveness and salvation for all souls who appropriate it through repentance and desire for God.
44 Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. 46 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if anyone hears My words and does not [b]believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
Therefore, we believe... That there is no such thing as a forced marriage with God.
No soul that seriously desires joy with God will ever miss it. Those who seek, find. To those who knock, it is opened. I personally believe that Jesus visits everyone at the point of death to introduce Himself in that capacity, which gives every person that did not have any relationship with Him on earth that very opportunity in that moment. I can't prove this except for the scripture that deals with Jesus descending to Hades to preach His gospel after His death (1 Peter 3;18-20), and another scripture dealing with many raising from the dead on the third day immediately after His resurrection (Matthew 27:52-53). Further it is not His will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Repentance is the operative word. Therefore we believe that Jesus (God the Son) will not deny Himself. He didn't die in vain. It is very hard to go to hell, you actually have to want to go there in order to go there. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Amen and Amen!!
